Wedding Photography - Frequently Asked Questions

Which areas do you cover?

I am based in Durham in the North East of England but will cover anywhere in the UK.  There is an additional charge for transport if you are further than 75 miles from my base location though this is charged at cost price only.

How many photographs will we receive?

This can vary depending upon the size of the wedding, the venue, weather and coverage type but will typically be between 400-600 for a full day and 200-300 for a half day.

Will you take formal group photographs of our friends and family?

Absolutely.  While my style is candid/reportage I fully understand most couples want formal/posed photos of themselves, their friends and their family.  After all a wedding is a great opportunity to get the family together for such photos.  Bride and groom, family and group shots are all part of the package and should anyone want a photo during the day I am happy to accommodate requests.

Do we need to meet before we can book?

That is entirely up to you.  Some couples like to meet in person to chat about their big day prior to committing while others prefer to keep it to phone/email.  I am happy to accommodate either.

How long will it take to get the photos?

Usual processing time for all images is around 4 weeks though I aim to have a sample gallery processed and available 24-48 hours after the wedding.

Can I print the photographs myself?

Of course! The images are yours to do with as you please.  You can print and share the photographs as much as you like and all are provided un-watermarked and at full resolution.  Also included is a lower resolution copy of each image more suited to sharing on social media.

We are interested in booking you, what’s the next step?

Great! Get in touch with your requirements (date, location, required coverage) or any questions you have and let’s see what we can do.  See my 'Contact' page for various means you can use to get in touch.

How / when do we need to pay?

Once you have received and signed your contract I require a deposit of £100 to secure the date.  The remaining balance is due 1 month before your wedding.
